Teaching

I am interested in teaching courses related to digital journalism, multimedia reporting, podcasting, and emerging technologies, including AI and data-driven storytelling. In addition, I bring expertise in social media management, influencer culture, and digital content creation, preparing students to produce innovative journalism across platforms. My teaching strives to equip students with both technical skills and critical perspectives so they can navigate the rapidly evolving media landscape as ethical, adaptable, and creative professionals.

KU Center for Digital Inclusion

  • About the project.

Led by University Distinguished Professor Hyunjin Seo, the KU Center for Digital Inclusion teaches technology skills through research-based education to justice-involved women, specifically women are currently incarcerated and those who have been recently released from jail or prison in Kansas and Missouri.

  • My role.

As the Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Research Coordinator for the Center, I lead the Center’s research projects and policy efforts. Additionally, I create educational content and help oversee the program's undergraduate research assistants and digital navigators (women who have participated in our education program and now support other justice-impacted women as peer mentors).

  • Educational content.

For the Center, I have created and taught educational content for the participants in the following areas: Advanced Microsoft Excel, professional interviews, personal & professional development skills, and cybersecurity for beginners.
